Zachary Joos, M.D.

Dr. Zachary Joos is a board certified ophthalmologist and fellowship trained oculofacial plastic surgeon specializing in eyelid and facial plastic surgery.

Originally from Bellevue, Dr. Joos completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California on an academic Dean’s scholarship. He obtained his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska graduating with honors. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah Hospitals and followed by an Ophthalmology Residency at the John A. Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Dr. Joos completed two fellowships, the first in advanced anterior segment surgery (complex cataracts, ocular trauma) at the Moran Eye Center where he also served as the Associate Residency Program Director while teaching surgery to residents at the Salt Lake City Veterans Administration. He then completed a fellowship in Oculoplastic, Orbital and Lacrimal surgery at The Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. (Preceptor: Professor Timothy J. Dr. Joos enjoys spending time skiing, hiking, travel, soccer and spending time with his wife and three children. Dr. Joos is the team Oculoplastic Surgeon for the Seattle Seawolves, Major Leage Rugby team.
